About ACA -

ACA was founded in 2000 by Dr. Anna Samoilov, a bilingual, English and Russian-speaking psychologist. We are a private psychological practice located in Arlington Center in Arlington, Massachusetts. Our associates are doctoral level, licensed psychologists with expertise in child, adult, and family assessment and treatment. We specialize in working with internationally adopted children and their families, and offer services in English and in Russian.

We offer comprehensive, culturally-sensitive assessment and treatment for internationally adopted, post-institutionalized children, as well as consultation and ongoing support for their families. We believe in using integrative, attachment-focused behavioral approach designed to build upon the child's existing strengths. We aim to provide our families with meaningful and active support, validation and guidance, as well as individualized, specific behavioral tools. We carefully tailor our assessment and treatment approach to meet each family's unique needs with the goal of generalizing therapeutic gains to the constantly changing demands of the real world.
