ASSESSMENT AND CONSULTATION

Our comprehensive, culturally-sensitive assessment services for internationally adopted children are based upon flexible use of both standard and specialized psychological testing procedures. Evaluation procedures typically include clinical interview in child's primary language, parent/teacher interviews, bilingual testing, and specialized assessment of child's cognitive ability, development, and adaptive behavior.

TREATMENT

We believe in integrative approach to treatment, and may combine several therapeutic techniques, such as cognitive-behavior therapy, trauma-focused therapy, play therapy, and attachment-focused therapy. We carefully tailor our treatment approach to meet each family's unique needs and to build upon the child's existing strengths.
